Jack Duffy currently studies International Politics at Georgetown University and competes on behalf of the Varsity Sailing Team at fleet and team racing regattas in the highly competitive Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Conference.

Prior to attending Georgetown, Jack grew up in Chicago, IL, and previously served as Head C420 Race Coach at Lake Forest Sailing, where he led a young team to new heights. He's also worked with the Chicago Yacht Club and attended numerous class championship events with their C420 team.

During his youth sailing career, Coach Duffy raced the Triple Crown Circuit—the pinnacle of C420 Youth Competition—as both skipper and crew. During his time at St. Ignatius College Prep, Jack lead his teammates to a strong finish at ISSA Baker Team Race Nationals and the Mallory Double Handed Fleet Racing Championship, won the Great Lakes High School trophy, earned the title of Midwest Double-Handed Champion, and was named Chicago Yacht Club's Most Valuable Sailor in 2022 and St. Ignatius' Most Valuable Sailor in 2023.

Dear MSA Sailors and Parents,

My name is Jack Duffy, and I'm excited to be joining Manchester Sailing Association as Head Race Coach. Sailing has been my passion for many years. I hope to introduce this exciting sport to new racers, who will certainly enjoy the adventure and fun of sailing. For returning racers, our program will inspire and equip MSA sailors to pursue opportunities beyond the local summer circuit, like class championship regattas, collegiate sailing, or wherever the sport leads them!

MSA's C420 team is stronger than ever, and I hope to continue to build our squad into an even more cohesive and competitive group of teammates. I'm eager to give sailors the resources they need to grow into confident racers and young adults through our practices, stellar regatta schedule, extra clinics and seminars, and team-focused activities.

I can't wait to get to know you all soon! It's going to be a fantastic summer of growth and fun on and off the water...

Coach Duffy brings a wealth of knowledge and unparalleled drive to MSA and hopes to build on the community spirit and commitment to excellence that distinguishes our program, inspire our sailors, guide them to new achievements on the summer, scholastic, and collegiate circuits, and have a fantastic summer of fun with friends and teammates!
