MSA will be hosting a Laser Racing Clinic with coach Tommy McCormick, an experienced Laser racer who's represented Team USA at three ILCA youth world championships, on the weekend of August 17 and 18, 2024. Adult and youth sailors over 12 years old interested in Laser racing/advanced sailing are encouraged to join us.
If you own a Laser, you are welcome to drop it off at Tuck's Point starting at 4 PM on Friday, August 16. For those who are without their own Lasers, MSA has made a limited number of boats available. To secure one of these boats, please reach out to Tommy McCormick at (305) 606-8660 as soon as possible.
On Saturday, coach Tommy McCormick will be conducting in-depth chalk talks and practical drills, focusing on Laser boat handling and race strategy. Then on Sunday, participants will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test in races, allowing them to apply what they've learned and enhance their abilities.
This immersive clinic promises to be an enriching experience, providing ample opportunities to grow and network within the local Laser community. Don't miss out on this exceptional chance to improve your racing skills and forge connections!
Entries are limited to 20 boats. If demand exceeds the limit, additional coaches may be brought in to allow for more entries.
Please refer to the Notice of Clinic for more information. Registration will open on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM at MSA’s Active.com Website. There will be a late fee added for registrations made after August 15.
