Spring Sailing

This year we will have two Spring sailing options.

1. Combined Opti 2 and Advanced sailing for 10-13 year old sailors. Five Saturday mornings

9:00 to 12:00 starting Saturday May 13th through Saturday June 17th . Under the guidance of

instructors, sailors will continue building their skills and sailing acumen. Crisp spring

mornings can be some of the most beautiful weather of the year. This class is best for sailors who

are 10-13 years old with demonstrated basic sailing skills or who have successfully completed

one session of Opti Intermediate or an equivalent course. Proper gear for cold-water sailing is required.

2. Laser and C420 sailing for 13 -18 year old sailors. Five Saturday afternoons from 1:00 – 4:30

starting Saturday May13th through Saturday June 17th . Racing will be held in both Lasers and

C420s with first start at approximately 1:45 in either Sand Dollar Cove or near the north side of

the harbor entrance (announcement on each day's location to be made on float prior to heading

out.) There will be light coaching and a chance to compete in 3 to 6 races a Saturday. Sailors

should be comfortable in a Laser or C420.

For both the Opti and Laser/C420 options, we will open registration on Monday March 1st at

7:00 a.m. Given current operating restrictions, we will have 12 available slots in the morning

Opti session and 12 for the afternoon Laser/C420 session. The tuition will be $195 per sailor.
