The Dyer Dhow

The Dyer Dhow is a 9' classic rowing and sailing dinghy that has been in use for over 70 years.
The Dyer Dhow's flat bottom design offers stability and is a good learning platform for sailors of all ages, as well as an excellent recreation and basic transportation vessel. Many a Dyer Dhow has sailed around the world as a dinghy for a larger sailboat. Dyers Dhows can hold up to four people or approximately 650 lbs.
Manchester Sailing Association has a number of Dyer Dhows used for both Intro and Learn-to-Sail classes. They are a well-loved boat in Manchester Harbor and many former MSA sailors cut their teeth in these same dinghys.
