MSA Receives US SAILING Award
May 19, 2010

Manchester Sailing Association is proud to announce that at the United States Sailing Association National Sailing Programs Symposium in Texas in February, it received the "Outstanding Seasonal Program" Award from the US Sailing Community Sailing Council. This award is given annually to a program that has made notable contributions to promote public access sailing. The nominating committee also highlighted the strong track record of the program for producing quality sailors and individuals. Read more about the award and the Sailing Programs Symposium at http://media.ussailing.org/US_SAILING_Media_Home/Latest_News/NSPS_recap.htm.

MSA is very grateful that US Sailing recognized that MSA serves a wide community, with sailors from all the surrounding towns, including Beverly, Essex, Ipswich, Hamilton, Manchester, Rockport and Wenham. Many sailors come out and simply learn the fun of "messing about in boats" while becoming competent recreational sailors. Others participate in MSA's competitive race teams and go on to highly successful high school and college racing teams, and even careers in sailing and sailboat racing.
